Japan-themed Market Booth II
I previously posted my Japan-themed jewelry booth, but I've since rethought my whole brand and color scheme, and wanted to get away from a red and black color scheme and move to a more organic and modern color scheme that highlighted the vibrant colors of my paper art jewelry (check it out at Paper Demon Jewelry).
I bought Japanese lamps as jewelry displays (which I posted about on this blog also!)
In the very center is a square Japanese paper lantern that I weighted in the center with glass marbles and then hung earrings on (this was AMAZINGLY easy and effective, since you just have to poke the earring backs through the paper, and they are supported by the bamboo structure inside the lantern). Cheap and easy.
I scoured the Goodwills in town for basketry that was striking and had clean vertical lines.
I used a Japanese obi (sash) for a central design focal point.
Here is a photo of my booth all set up, at our town's Japanese Summer Oboh Festival. I had a GREAT day there!!!! :-)
(I did iron the tablecloths!!! But somehow they got all wrinkled on the way to the market)
