My new jewelry business card

My new jewelry business card

I wanted to try something different with my business card. This time I put some of my jewelry to work so that way my customers can see some of it before going on my website.

I really like...

1) The vertical layout of your new business card.

2) The multiple photos of your work - great idea.

3) The minimalist approach to your text on the card. You've included everything they need in order to contact you or see more of your work, but in a way that doesn't interfere with the jewelry photos.

Very nicely done! It definitely looks like an artist's business card.

Thank You

Great Tactic
by: Delia Stone

Hi Danica,
I second this as a great idea. I have done the same thing for years. I make my own cards here at home and the thing that I do differently is that I only have one picture on each card. Each picture represents a different style of work that I produce ... for example, one card has my sculpted coil pendant, another a netted pendant, yet another a rainbow wrap, mosaic earrings, a basket weave bezel pendant, etc ... I have about a total of six or seven different pics.

I originally started doing this because when I picked up cards at shows, later I couldn't remember who had what style based on just names and phone numbers - there were too many to keep straight in my head. So I realized that others must have the same problem. I wanted people to look at my card and remember that I'm the girl with the unique jewelry that they liked so much. People often dig through my cards to choose the one with the picture that they want - which is great. They remember me, my name and the specific style of jewelry that they were attracted to. I think this is making the most of our cards as effective advertising!

I have actually had one woman thank me. She told me she ends up throwing away a lot of cards after she has visited a show because she can't remember whose who a week later. She didn't throw my card away. :) Instead, she contacted me later to schedule an appointment for private instruction.

This really is a great idea, and I recommend that others follow your recommendation, Danica. :)

personalized business cards

Has anyone seen "mini moo" cards? They're 2 sided business cards with a variety of your own pictures on the front and your text info on the back. You can order standard size cards or the mini size, which can be used like a regular business card or can double as a hang tag, etc. I just ordered my first set and haven't gotten them yet, but the ordering process is easy and it was alot of fun choosing and downloading my photos. You can check them out at www.moo.com.

MOO
by: archipelagojewelry

I have ordered the regular size MOO and the mini MOO cards and I mix up the photos with various designs. I have customers to go through the cards and pick out a favorite design. Most of my designs are one-of-a-kind but it gives them ideas of what I can do. They are a little more expensive than other cards but very thick and nice quality.

Danica, your cards are beautiful!!
Girls, you are going to LOVE your mini-moo cards!
I love mine and EVERY time I bring them out, I get compliments.
When you put your cards on a table with other ones, say at a hairdressers or a restaurant they stand out.
Friends collect the different cards from me and argue over which ones they get!!LOL!
The finish and clarity is well worth the $26.00 I pay total for 100, the case and shipping.
I wish I would get a coupon for every time I plug them!!! Much luck.
