The earring display case set up at home
I had been talking with my Dad about my need for a sturdy but pretty earring display case that I could use for both home parties and shows.
He made me a wood case that has a dark red felt back with 4 shelves.
My earring cards needed to fold to hold info about the materials.
The case is 2" deep so my earring cards fit perfectly. I can get up to 5 pairs of earrings per shelf. (40 pairs per case.)
Since the case folds together, I usually just have to open it up, adjust the earring cards and Voila! I am ready to sell.
He used maple wood with a light satin finish and pegboard behind felt for the back.
It is 16w x 24h inches.
There are small brass hinges at the top and bottom. He put a brass latch hook to hold it together.
It is about 2lbs. and I have since put double canvas handles to make it easy to carry.
I loved this earring display case so much he made me a second one. Then he made a longer 36" case with dowel rods to hang necklaces on.
Again very easy to store and set up display.
The only bad thing is that people need to unlatch the necklace to try it on. Good thing is that it does discourage theft.
My dad is the 'bomb' at 76.
