Pedestal Cake Plate Display for Ear Hooks

Long-stemmed crystal cake platter with rim for hanging earrings

I love using the wine glass displays for earrings, but had several broken - they are hard to to weigh down!

Trying to use heavy weighted crystal vases worked much better, but I was still looking for height.

I found a cake plate on a tall pedestal (16") that is perfect. It's totally clear and simple, nothing to distract from the jewelry.

It has a lip of about 3/4" over which I hang the earwires.

The light flowing through and bouncing off the glass addd to the sparkle of the gems.

Of course it's still a cake plate when needed. I love multipurposing!!!

What a great display idea for hanging earrings where they can be seen.

And you could probably still use the main part of the cake stand (where the cake would usually sit) to showcase something else.

What a lovely cake tray you found. I can just see that encircled with handsome earrings! A good way of getting height, and great for taking photos too.

If you cannot find a tall pedistal stand you could make your own - from a vase and a pretty plate! Imagine the combinations! Use a GOOD glue for holding glass together.
