Old Household Junk Turned Beautiful Display Funk!!!

An old household item, a little creativity, only about an 1 hour assembly time ended up being the most stunningly beautiful bracelet displays!
I needed to come up with a last minute eye-catching display. It had to be on a smaller scale & hold around 40 to 50 bracelets.
So, I had an old cooking utensil holder that was wooden, stood about 10" high, & had a lazy susan type bottom with a hook on 2 of the 4 sides (was for bottle opener, peeler, etc.).
I removed the 2 hooks, roughed up the edges (sanded, with a few other random sanded spots, here & there to give it a distressed look) brushed on a different colored stain (stain mixed with polyurethane works best) and applied it evenly over all.
I then drilled 3 holes on each of the 4 sides, alternating the placement and staggering the holes (2 opposite sides-had 2 top/1 bottom hole, the other 2 opposite sides had 1 top/2 bottom holes).
I made a simple cover with a cheap $.90 small, thin unfinished wooden square (found at any craft store), trimmed off excess wood, stained it also, & wood glued it on the top (using 2 clamps to assure a flat, even finish).
To display my business logo, I took 2 thin pieces of wood trim (stained to match), glued them flat on top of display, only leaving enough space to snugly fit a piece of foam board between them. The foam board had my logo on each of the sides to display my business name!
I know I've made it sound difficult but it truly was simple to make & best of all it came out looking great!!!
