Jewelry Display Made of a Gift Box

Step 1 - Empty gift box that will be turned into a jewelry display.

Step 1 - Empty gift box that will be turned into a jewelry display.

Step 1 - Empty gift box that will be turned into a jewelry display. Step 2 - Drill small holes in each side of the box. Step 3 - Pass a cord through the holes (adding an embellishment such as flowers or beads if you like), and knot the ends on the outside of the box. Step 4 - Mount the box to create a hanging jewelry display, and hang jewelry from the cords.

My sister had given me a perfume with matching shower gel and body lotion as birthday present, in this beautiful heart shaped box, dressed in blue satin fabric.

I had my husband open little holes on the sides with a drill.

I passed a pink satin cord from one hole to the other and adorned with some pink flowers I had, which luckily had a hole in the centre.

I made a knot to hold the flower in place and continued with the rest of the holes.

So now I have two small jewelry displays that look like this.

Of course this can be done with any kind of box as long as it isn't very deep.

I love this crafty way to make a display while recycling a pretty box. What a great idea!

Your flowers at the ends of the cords are a wonderful touch for dressing up the display and making it more inviting.

Thank you so much for sharing this creative display, Tina!
