Jewelry Booth Design
with Style

A lovely jewelry booth design is one of the elements that made Linda Fass' first two shows a success. Here she shares her tips for a successful booth:

Booth Design:

As you can see in the images, I used an elegant black and white color scheme. My jewelry really pops as the main focal point of the booth against the black and white.

I added a few elements from nature to warm up the booth, including two faux orchids (which everyone thought were real) and a beautiful piece of driftwood.

I used the driftwood as a display piece for an earthy brown and silver earrings and bracelet set seen in the image (above).

I think I really got the desired outcome from my booth design because I received very flattering comments not only about my jewelry but also my booth.

In fact, at both of my recent shows many people commented that I had the best looking booth.

Display Tables:

As you will see from the pictures, I used black fabric boxes to create a multi-level effect for my jewelry displays.

I purchased the boxes at a local discount store. These boxes "nest" in sets of four, so that set-up, break down and storage couldn't be easier.

To enhance that multi-level effect, my husband cut PVC pipes to raise the tables to two different eye level heights. He spray painted the pipe black so it would blend in with the table cloths.

The back table is about 4 inches higher than the front table.

Display Signs:

Most of my jewelry pieces were individually priced with hang tags; however, I have a few wrought iron display pieces that make individual price-tagging impossible.

As you can see in the pictures, I created little signs for those group displays.

In order to make my signs, I cut black earring cards to size and printed price labels on my Brother label maker which I absolutely love! I attached the price cards to the displays with silver gift box bows that I use for my packaging.

Jewelry Packaging:

To fit in with the overall elegant look and feel of my business, I go the extra mile and package all purchases in a purple (my theme color) gift box with a silver bow.

I then place the box in a gift bag with tissue.

I include my business card which has jewelry care instructions printed on the back. I plan to make discount coupons to include in the bag as well.

Front Information Table:

As you can see from the picture I have a round table that I place just outside of my booth.

This table is the first thing people see when approaching my booth, so I try to grab their attention with a raffle for a free set of earrings and a necklace.

This table also includes a frame displaying accepted forms of payment, a few words about what I offer and information about my website.

I also place a portfolio of my work, a mailing list sign up sheet and a raffle box and raffle tickets on the table.

Other Success Tips:

I have to say, I picked up most of my tips from Rena's book Ultimate Guide to Your Profitable Jewelry Booth, which was a huge help in preparing for my shows.

All in all, I truly believe you should be consistent with everything you do with your jewelry business.

From your product presentation and your packaging to your promotional materials, everything should reflect the quality and style you want to portray to your customers.

Figure out who you are (as a business), where your business fits in and stay true to that in all that you do.
