Old pre-made jewelry displays - painted and given a refreshing new look!
These are old premade displays in white leatherette and cherry stained wood.
The leatherette was ripped and spotted in several places, and the wood was scuffed and scratched.
They were being thrown out anyways so I decided to experiment.
I left them fully assembled and used an emery stick (it is a jewelry shop) and roughed up the varnish on the wooden parts, took them out back and spray painted everything green.
I bought bagged moss from the local craft store and used white glue to place mossy patches at random.
The showcases are draped with hanging bunches of green amaranthus.
The whole effect was very swamplike and the jewelry really popped.
Who knew you could spraypaint old leatherette jewelry displays?
