I have chosen to display my jewelry as sets for the most part. These sets usually include gemstones and/or art glass necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.

I offer these unique and matching sets exclusively on my Gems by Juli website.

The display mannequins I use allow me to exhibit all the components in the set at the same time.

This also allows me to include more jewelry on my site, as I am limited to only 100 items at a time.

Check them out to see if they can be of help to you.

Great Idea - Sets Sell More Jewelry!
by: Rena

Hi Juli,

Displaying sets together is such a great idea - it gets people to thinking about buying multiple pieces instead of just a necklace.

I think gentlemen in particular like to shop this way, when buying a gift for their lady. Matching sets can have a high perceived value as a gift.

I get lazy about actually making my jewelry in sets, but whenever I've had matching pieces, they've been fast sellers - and your method of displaying everything together, in a "one stop shopping spree" makes it so easy for your customers.

Also - just wanted to let everyone else know - Juli is also an awesome painter, in addition to being a jewelry artist!

Visit the Gallery pages of her site and scroll through the pages to see her various miniature paintings.

Her paintings have been in juried shows in the U.S. and Japan.

Keep on with your beautiful paintings and jewelry, Juli! :o)

This is a great idea! Where can I find a display like the one pictured above?

I'll Try to Get Ahold of Juli ...

and let her know you're asking!

Great work, nice display, but totally underpriced!
by: Mary V.

Juli's prices are far too low, even if she is working in silver plated rather than sterling silver, she is obviously not charging for labour and overheads, these items are practically being sold for the cost of the materials

Very nice!

That is an excellent idea...thanks for sharing!

For those looking for similar display busts, Nile carries one like that.

Juli's Source for These Displays
by: Rena

Thanks for sharing that source, Rachel! :o)

I also just heard from Juli - she says:

"First I want to thank you for showing my site on your jewelry-display-ideas site. I've already had some contacts from it.

Next, you wanted to know where I got the four component displays. The best one is probably gemsondisplay.com. I just checked the site and they have a item called the "combo bust" which is similar to older ones I have.

More recently, I've purchased some beige and red models from firemountaingems.com. They were very reasonable but had no extra tags for rings, bracelets or earrings. I used straight pins to place these items at different spots around the necklaces. I like having the flexibility this gives me.

Thanks again for including me in your group. Its lots of fun."

Thank you Juli, for this helpful idea and great resources!

Combination Busts
by: Patricia C Vener

I've been buying display things from Nile corp. Their prices are exceptionally low, but I have not seen any combination busts there and didn't even know such existed pre-made!

Found them
by: Leslie

Hello! I found and purchased the displays at Nile. They even arrived already and I ordered them right after reading the posts on here. LOVE them, just to let you all know where I found them! Thanks so much everyone!!

Warmly,
Leslie

Regarding Mary V's comment
by: Wynham Designs

Mary V. wrote that Juli was not charging enough for her work. Setting a price for your work is your business. While I was learning the trade, I did not feel my workmanship was professional enough to charge top dollar. Also, I used the less expensive materials in honing my skills. I was happy to just recover the cost of the materials much less the time it took to create the item. Now that my skill is improved, my prices now include the labor and overhead. I am proud to sell these items now. Juli perhaps feels the same way. I would suggest she shop around and find out what her local jewelry artists are charging. The unwritten agreement is not to undercharge your fellow artists once your skills are on par with them.
