I wanted to create something unique when it comes to my newest business cards. I really like this design - it describes my work and my website.

Enjoy!

Love it!

It's so cheerful and colorful - I'd think this is a very approachable artist with a friendly jewelry business!

Thanks so much for sharing it with us, Danica!

I would change some of the line breaks in the bottom text to separate the natural phrases and avoid the run-on sentence feel.

I'm also a big fan of photos on business cards, especially with products such as jewelry. There's nothing like a photo to reminder people why they want to keep your card :)

I really like the coloring & borders you used in your business cards, which caught my eye. I did have a very hard time reading the information. I would suggest breaking up some of your information or even eliminating some to make it more conducive to the reader. Adding a picture of one of your designs & adding your website would be great additions as well, that way you can still let them know you sell great jewelry products but with visuals (which are extremely important in the "rush rush" world we live in. You have many great pieces to choose from - I took a peek at your site.

It looks very busy and the name doesn't stand out.

ANOTHER OPINION
by: Anonymous

Sorry but to me it looks amateurish and home made. I agree about the run on sentance, there is far too much info. on the card.

Danica's Business Card
by: Wanda K

Most people don't read...they look at pictures and, maybe, quickly scan the text. When I first looked at your card, I had no idea you make bridal jewelery. Nothing on the card (other than the words) says that to me. A picture of your work, on the other hand...

thank you

I looked again at the business card & it did have the website - sorry, I didn't realize it was there when I posted my first comment b/c everything just blended together. I agree with the others - people are very visual people!

Website comment

I visited your website as you suggested, and was very surprised to see a bracelet which appears to be identical to one sold by Fire Mountain Gems. It's especially disturbing since the bracelet is made of resin, not amber, is not unique and is available on Fire Mountain for less than $2.00!
I also have a website for handcrafted one-of-a-kind jewellery and it upsets me greatly to see other designer abusing paying customers. If you are using the word "unique", you are implying exclusivity and if you sell mass marketed jewellery, it is far from exclusive.

I am sorry that you feel that way
by: Danica

I am truly sorry that you feel that way but hun all of my handmade jewelry that you see on my website is made by me yeah i admit i go into magazines and online classes to learn and get ideas but never in my life did i buy something already made i am a very serious designer and i really don't appreciate your words because I know I made that bracelet as I said I get ideas and I make everything you see I love all my customers and to me it's not about making money I am a interior designer and I make money this is my hobby that I love doing so please keep on doing what you are doing i wish you all the best of luck and I am very hurt about your comments but still thank you for visiting my website

Great Job!
by: Deb

Danica,
I have read all the comments and some are good and should help you out, others seem to be a bit harsh!
I appreciate you sharing your card with us. Remember to follow your heart and always treat people fairly and you will do just fine.
I really loved the idea of your card, the colors and it just looked good. I also liked the idea of a picture of you or your jewelry. Perhaps you can have a two sided card.
Go Girl and God Bless!
Deb

Thanks Deb
by: Danica

Thank you so much Deb but I did make new cards for myself I did make a mistake on these and hey we are all human we make mistakes and I treat everybody fairly belive me I just don't like people putting words in my mouth that's all but I am a very nice person and I love what I do both of my jobs and everybody is going to have a opinion that's ok I learn from both but I thank you very much and god bless you as well

Maybe this will help
by: Gangbusters

Hi, Danica! Your Web site design is very professional. The photos seem to take a long time to load, though. I recommend resizing them to be much, much smaller, since right now they're high-resolution (over 1,000 pixels wide), but displaying at screen resolution (only about 300 pixels wide). Always size your photos to the size they're going to display, and you can't go wrong!

Meanwhile, I looked at your intro text, and while it's very friendly and accessible, I took the liberty of cleaning up the grammar for you. Using the text this way will help your site reach a higher level of professionalism. I hope this helps you out!

keep doing what you're doing

You have obviously put a lot of time and effort into your business card, website, and jewelry creations. Bravo! Ignore harsh comments as seen below...In this market of beaded jewelry design it is absolutely impossible NOT to create designs similar or identical to others. There are tens of thousands of us doing this either as a business or a hobby and we all know the same techniques, use similar materials, and have seen a magazine or two, so it is inevitable. I have been designing jewelry for years but as a hobby. My M-F work keeps me so busy that I don't have time to get organized and send samples w/instructions to magazines, or present at shows. You have no idea how many times I came across a piece in a magazine nearly identical to what I had done months or even years prior, or I saw identical pieces to my designs at shows/fairs. The fact that there are even legal issues about copying a jewelry designer’s work is SUCH a joke. How many times have the greatest artists ever known had their work reproduced and sold for a profit?? Michelangelo, Davinci, Klimt? In my opinion if you are inspirited by someone else’s design or you even copy it directly then that’s the most sincere form of flattery to the original artist! So, keep doing what you do and let the creativity flow!

Thank You

That really dose mean allot I am very greatful to hear such nice words
God Bless
