Natural background for displaying metal jewelry

I am fortunate enough to have access to authentic slate (my sons have a Restoration Construction Business).

So I find unique shapes, put 3 coats of high gloss sealer on them and use them at my shows.

The cool shine and the warm glow of the bracelets really catch buyers' eyes.

I picked up my slate tiles at a home improvement store. I never thought to seal them. I like that no two slate pieces are alike. And they are the best sort of natural textured backdrop for photos. Enjoy the day! Erin

I take my photos on tiles

I went to the home improvement store and purchased 2 tiles one in a lighter color and one in a darker color to take my jewelry photos on.

I had accidentally noticed that my patio table, that looked like tile, was the best background for my jewelry. With the purchased tiles I can take photos inside which is great in Michigan where we have a winter season.

Slate booth

I saw the most wonderful and memorable booth some time ago. It consisted of several tables set up in a U shape and covered with tablecloths. Risers under the cloths gave the tables varied heights for a step-like effect. Finally, slate slabs were layed out on each layer, and the jewelry sat on the slates. The jewelry really stood out against the slate, while the slate provided an artistic, interesting, and natural display for some very good-looking and earthy jewelry. It was a wonderful look!
