Jewelry display in a beauty shop. The owner wanted something that would draw a woman's attention.
After perusing your pages for two weeks, I got an idea for a display I needed to make. The woman who does my hair offered to put a display of my jewelry in her shop.
She wanted a display that would make women who came into the shop say, "ooh, what's that?"
There had been a traditional display in the shop before that did not sell any jewelry, so the shop owner's directions were pretty explicit.
So I took an old kidney-shaped table, stapled some sparkly material to it in gathers to make a skirt, glued shells to an old window I had, to use as hooks, mounted a string of lights on the back, and set up this display, with old bottles and shells on the tabletop for display as well.
The fringed cloth is an old shawl draped over the top of the table. The large conch shell can hold five pairs of earrings!
I consider this a win-win situation. My friend now has a pretty addition to her shop and I have a jewelry display that is selling already.
The display was up for one day and sold two pieces of jewelry.
I don't think I would have been able to do this without looking at all the ideas on your page. I am truly grateful.
Thank you,
